Why we're keeping notes

Jul 7, 2026·1 min read·by Udaysinh

For a long time the interesting parts of our work never left the group chat. A bug that ate three days and turned out to be a caching header we set ourselves. A library we swore by in March and quietly tore out by July. The Friday-afternoon argument about whether to ship.

This is where some of that goes now.

There's no schedule. We write when something is worth writing down, which is usually right after it stops being annoying. Some of these will be two paragraphs. A few will run too long and we won't apologise for it.

Mostly it'll be build notes: how a thing actually got made, wrong turns left in. Now and then we'll put up something we haven't figured out yet, early, so someone can tell us we're wrong before we find out the expensive way.

That's the whole idea. If a note here saves you an afternoon, good. That's already more than the group chat ever did for anyone outside it.

Say hi on the contact page if you want to.
